Engineer, Builder, Tinkerer
I've been coding for over 10 years and hold a Masters and Bachelor's in Computer Science. With a background spanning software and hardware, along with a lifelong love of solving puzzles and making music and art, I bring creative thinking to technical challenges and collaborate effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams.
My career spans mission-critical defense software at General Dynamics, next-generation network hardware at Intel, robotics and virtual reality research at ASU, and genomics research at TGen uncovering the causes of rare childhood disorders. I've also worked as a math instructor's aide, helping students build confidence in a subject I love. Each role has sharpened my curiosity, work ethic, and passion for lifelong learning.

Technical Work
Machine Learning
Drone Flight Modeling
Used in-house drone flight data on AWS S3 to train TensorFlow models predicting flight direction. Built in EC2 with Jupyter Notebook.
MNIST Digit Classifier
Implemented Naïve Bayes, neural nets, and deep learning on the MNIST dataset; modeled 2D normal distributions per digit class.
ML Curriculum Web App
Designed and built an interactive web application to teach machine learning concepts — from linear algebra through CNNs.
Data Visualization
Global Salary Analysis
Determined income trends across the world using SQL, statistical models, and rich visualizations. Full ETL pipeline included.
European Weather Forecast
Live 7-day weather dashboard for European cities, fetching real-time data from the 7Timer! API.
Africa GDP (1960–2011)
Interactive visualization of Africa's historical GDP data spanning five decades, exploring regional economic growth patterns.
Movie Database
Displays a list of movies with full CRUD functionality — load seeded data, add, update, and delete records.
Natural Language Processing
Synthetic Robot Command Generator
Collected human-written robot commands, extracted grammatical patterns, and synthetically generated thousands of additional training sentences. ASU Interactive Robotics Lab.
How the Language Generator Works
Original commands were converted into reusable sentence templates, with words categorized by type. Those templates were then recombined with categorized words to synthetically generate thousands of new training sentences.
1. These are the original sentences taken from the database, converted to sentence templates.
2. Words used in the original sentences are divided into categories.
3. Using the sentence templates and categorized words, more sentences are created with the synthetic language generator.
Beyond the Code
Web Apps
Tenzies Dice Game
Interactive dice-rolling game built with React. Roll until all dice match!
GUI / Creative Coding
4th of July Fireworks
Animated fireworks display with controls for color, speed, and number of beams.
Line Drawing Tool
Browser-based drawing app restricted to lines, with color/size controls, undo, and erase functionality.
Duck vs Bee Game
This duck is trying to make its way back home, but it's deathly allergic to bees. If the duck gets stung, the game ends. But if the duck arrives home in time, then you've won the game!
Tinkering
Building a Robot
As part of a weeklong bootcamp at ASU, built a robot from scratch — soldering, wiring, and programming an Arduino to move autonomously.
3D Printing
Designed a Halloween pumpkin in Fusion360 and 3D-printed it. The inside lights up with a small battery and mini LED.
Music Production
Piano & Composition
Started playing piano around age 5, with 6–7 years of lessons, and have kept playing for fun ever since — composing original pieces with a Yamaha keyboard and GarageBand.
